Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 27, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Hold It! (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Hold It! provides a deposit-holding gateway that helps buyers and sellers coordinate marketplace transactions.

2. Use of the Service

You agree to provide accurate information, to use the Service only for lawful purposes, and to honor the transaction terms you create or accept. Deposits, fees, and forfeiture rules are shown to you before you commit to any transaction.

3. Data Collection & Sharing with Advertisers

When you create an account and use the Service, we collect information such as your name, email address, transaction activity, and usage data. By accepting these Terms, you acknowledge and agree that Hold It! may collect, use, share, and sell your account holder information and related data to third parties, including advertisers, marketing partners, and data brokers, for purposes such as advertising, analytics, and business development.

This may include personal identifiers, contact details, and behavioral or transactional data. These third parties may use the information to deliver targeted advertising and to develop their own products and services.

Your Right to Opt Out

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (for example, under the California Consumer Privacy Act or the EU General Data Protection Regulation). To exercise these rights, or to request access to or deletion of your data, contact us at [email protected]. We will honor valid requests as required by applicable law.

4. Deposits, Fees & Forfeiture

Deposit amounts, transaction fees, and no-show forfeiture terms are calculated and disclosed within each transaction before you accept it. By proceeding with a transaction, you agree to the specific amounts shown for that transaction.

5. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Hold It! is not responsible for the conduct of buyers or sellers, the condition of items exchanged, or losses arising from transactions between users.

6. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
